Service Description

A safe, effective and quick treatment procedure that involves the removal of many skin blemishes or lesions including Telangiectasia (broken capillaries/veins), Skin Tags, Spider Naevi, Cherry Angiomas/Blood Spots, Seborrheic Keratosis, Sebaceous Hyperplasia, Milia, Warts and Mole reduction using an electrical current to cauterise. A consultation and patch test appointment will be needed (£15) where I will determine your suitability for treatment. Clients who are slow to heal, diabetics, anyone with a pacemaker or cochlear implant are unsuitable for treatment. I will examine your blemish/s and give an indication of treatment time/sessions that may be needed. A small area will be treated to see how your skin heals over the following 14 days. Aftercare advice will be given. Please note in some cases a GP referral will be needed and I will provide you with a consent form for this. £35 for 1 small blemish £70 for multiple blemishes (1 hour) Milia - harmless and caused by an over production of dry skin cells causing a blockage of the sebaceous gland. Most milia can be removed in one session. Seborrheic Warts or Keratosis - common pigmented benign skin growths formed from a build up of keratinocyte cells. They often appear post 40 and can be single or numerous located all over the face and body. Rough in texture and vary in colour from brown to black. Sebaceous Hyperplasia - A benign little bump on the skin. Can be caused through damage and over production of sebum. Usually found on the forehead. Easily treated progressively. Skin Tags - soft flesh coloured growths on the skin and are painless noncancerous growths. Small tags can usually be removed in one session but larger tags may need additional sessions. Thread veins - (also known as spider veins or telangiectasia) commonly found on the cheeks and nose area. They are broken capillaries caused by trauma to the skin such as sun damage or chronic skin conditions such as rosacea. They are harmless but unsightly but easily faded and removed by diathermy in usually 1 to 3 treatments. Please note that if your thread veins are due to rosacea you will need to treat the rosacea prior to your treatment as this will reduce the likelihood of developing new thread veins in future. This can be discussed during your initial patch test and consultation. Moles - removal/reduction - please note if a mole has changed it is important that you seek medical advice. A GP referral may be needed. Cherry Angioma (blood blister)
